Synthesizer ROLAND JP8000

This analog-like synth with digital controllers offers large number of qualities: virtually unlimited range of sounds and very pleasant interface, with all the controllers associated to a button (no menu or selection key). The sending of MIDI control changes linked to all the buttons allows to record in MIDI all the modifications played in real-time. On the down side, we find here, as on the digital mixing desk, the "clicks" induced by the discontinuity of the controllers values (digital device weakness). This is not a tremendous fault. Also, relatives endless buttons would have been better than absolute ones, to avoid the need to find the new position for a parameter when a program is recalled. And in the end, where is the "thru" MIDI plug? In the case of the Flores Studio, the JP8000 is an excellent substitute for the sampled sounds of synthesizers delivered by the QY700 and the CD3000.
